- To help improve the quality of life for Urban Native Homes Incorporated Tenants through the provision of safe, affordable housing and through counselling advocacy and referral services which meet the needs of the clients.
- To increase organization self-sufficiency to ensure long-term growth by:
- Acquiring an office and commercial property which includes a workshop and warehouse space.
- Exploring and developing alternative funding initiatives.
- To increase staff skills and knowledge by providing ongoing staff training and development that ensures operational efficiency.
Kenatah - Is an Iroquoian word for "a cluster of dwellings". The Ministry of Housing approved the construction of a 52-unit townhouse site located in Stoney Creek.

Seven men and women volunteer their time and offer their expertise to the Board of Directors. A staff of fourteen manage the daily administration. Various funding sources are pursued to enhance and provide additional services to tenants.
The membership of Urban Native Homes Incorporated consists of individuals and Corporations. All members, Native and non-Native, have shown an active interest in the housing of Native people in an urban setting. The Board of Directors are elected from the membership, by the membership at an annual meeting.
